The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, in cooperation with UNESCO, as an organizational partner, is proud to announce the side event on the STI Forum 2024. This event will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 9, 2024, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The topic of the panel organized by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation concerns the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development 2024-2033, which was adopted at the UN General Assembly as an initiative of the Republic of Serbia. The aim of the panel itself is to explore the transformational potential of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development and its expected role in the advancement of technology and sustainable development.
New technological advances, such as genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum technology and information technology, have the potential to address key challenges presented in the Sustainable Development Goals.
H.E. Jelena Begović, PhD, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Government of the Republic of Serbia, will deliver the main speech at the event.
