About Us

The Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia is a state administration organ established with its scope of work determined by Article 6 of the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Ministries („Official Gazette of RS“, No. 116/2022), newly-added Article 23а.

The Ministry performs tasks of state administration related to: the system, scientific activities development and improvement, and all in the function of scientific, technological and economic development; proposing and implementing policies and strategies for scientific and technological development; determining and implementing scientific, technological, and developmental research programs; supporting young talents; training personnel for scientific research; proposing and implementing innovation policies; proposing and implementing policies and programs in the field of artificial intelligence; promoting technology entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer, and technology in the economy; developing and improving the innovation system in the Republic of Serbia; developing the functioning of the scientific-technological information system and the development program of scientific-technological infrastructure; research in the nuclear energy field; nuclear facility security; production and temporary storage of radioactive materials, except within nuclear energy facilities; creating conditions for access and implementation of projects within the scope of this Ministry financed from European Union pre-accession funds, donations, and other forms of development aid, as well as other tasks determined by law.
